According to reports, a meeting took place on March 31 between the khokim of Kitab district, Rustam Gafurov, and representatives of the prestigious Japanese international organization — the Japan International Cooperation Agency.
During the negotiations, project proposals and presentations developed by foreign companies for the construction of a 7-kilometer-long tunnel at the pass were reviewed. The parties held detailed discussions regarding modern engineering solutions, infrastructure that meets safety requirements, and measures to further facilitate transportation within the project framework.
As emphasized, the implementation of this major infrastructure project will serve as a key factor in significantly improving interregional transport links, ensuring road safety, and increasing economic activity. At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to consistently continue cooperation on the project.
