The newly established enterprise, WBM Fabrics, has become the latest link in the deep processing value chain. As part of an investment project worth $50 million, a modern production facility equipped with high-tech machinery from Italy and Germany has been built. The enterprise has launched the production of fabric dyeing and printing. It is designed to produce 24,000 tons of high-demand products annually and has created 600 permanent jobs.
Particular attention has been given to installing a modern water treatment system. This system recycles technical water used in the dyeing workshops, ensuring high efficiency and environmental sustainability.
The Head of state inspected the production facilities and spoke with specialists. Discussions focused on efficiently using space, reducing production costs through energy savings, and improving employee qualifications.
It is worth noting that the enterprise’s operations are primarily export-oriented. Its annual export volume is expected to reach $55 million.
The textile industry in Andijan region is developing rapidly. A modern cluster system processes an increasing share of locally grown cotton. The region accounts for 16.5 percent of the national textile industry. In 2024, Andijan produced textile goods worth 20 trillion UZS and exported products worth $488 million, representing 42 percent of the region’s total exports.
