According to AZERTAC, the 46-year-old athlete conquered 81 peaks in 2023, 101 in 2024 and 70 peaks last year, retaining his world ranking for three years in a row.
He is also remembered for his expeditions to the peaks of Azerbaijan. During this time, Koch conquered the peak of Shahdag, located in our country. The climber also climbed Khachadag Mountain in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. He noted that he also organized expeditions to such high mountains as Kazbek in Georgia and Demavend in Iran.
"The mountains of Azerbaijan are of great importance to me. Climbing the peaks of Shahdag and Khachadag was a special experience for me," said Koch.
It should be noted that Levent Koc also conquered the highest peaks of Turkey: the mountains of Agra, Suphan and Jilo. In Aladaglar, he conquered 80-90 peaks in a year. In 2024, he set a personal best by climbing 101 peaks.
