At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, will visit the city of Samarkand on April 23-24.
The upcoming talks’ agenda includes further strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan and expanding multifaceted cooperation, particularly in the political, interparliamentary, trade and economic, transport and communications, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.
An exchange of views on pressing regional and international issues is also planned.
At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, Giorgia Meloni, will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on May 28-29.

Andijan is the most densely populated city in the country, with 10 percent of Uzbekistan’s population residing on just 1 percent of its territory. On the President’s initiative, the construction of a new city was launched in 2021. During his current visit, the Head of state reviewed the initial outcomes of this large-scale project.
At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will pay a working visit to the city of Khujand on March 31.
