Cooperation with Kyrgyz companies is being strengthened

    On December 20 of this year, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the participation of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the leading business circles of the two countries.

    Prospects for mutual cooperation were discussed at the meeting, as well as problems arising in the export of beef, milk and dairy products, nuts and similar products from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan.

    It should be noted that thanks to the policy of our Presidents, the joint efforts of the ministries and departments of our countries to strengthen friendly good-neighborly relations, significant progress has been made in the development of cultural, trade, economic and interregional cooperation.

    Cooperation is intensifying in the economy, agriculture, energy, transport, education and cultural and humanitarian spheres. Since the beginning of 2022, the trade turnover between the countries has increased by 30 percent and reached $ 1 billion. A lot of work has been done to create favorable conditions for the development of cross-border trade and the full use of the logistics and transit potential of the two countries.

    Currently, 301 enterprises with the participation of Kyrgyz capital are operating in the Republic of Uzbekistan, including 130 joint ventures and 171 enterprises with 100 percent foreign capital.

    At the meeting, representatives of Kyrgyz companies received detailed answers to their questions, and an agreement was reached to continue the dialogue on mutual cooperation in the future, the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry reports.
