The event began with the laying of flowers at the grave of prominent Azerbaijani statesman Heydar Aliyev as a sign of respect for his memory.
During the event, issues of expanding tourism ties between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan were discussed. In particular, agreements were reached on cooperation in the media sphere to promote tourist destinations, create joint advertising campaigns and multimedia products.
The Uzbek delegation also invited Azerbaijani partners to participate in the international tourism fair "Tourism on the Silk Road", which will be held this year in Tashkent.
