The delegations of the parties were headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Furkat Siddikov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Aftab Kureishi.
During the talks, the current state and prospects for the development of a multifaceted Uzbek-Pakistani strategic partnership were discussed.
Mutual interest in deepening cooperation in trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres was confirmed.
The parties separately discussed the implementation of major investment projects, in particular the construction of the Termez-Mazar-I-Sharif-Kabul-Peshawar railway.
The commitment was expressed to expand cooperation in the Afghan direction, in particular, in the provision of humanitarian and other assistance to the Afghan people.
