One of the
main outcomes of the negotiations was the achievement of an agreement on
signing an Intergovernmental Agreement between Uzbekistan and Serbia in the
field of migration and mobility.
During the
meeting, the Serbian side expressed interest in attracting qualified
specialists from Uzbekistan to work on the construction of facilities for the
international EXPO 2027 exhibition, which will be held in the country. Issues
related to the preliminary training of personnel in this area and their
assignment to jobs with decent working conditions were discussed.
It was also
reported that the opening of a Serbian embassy in Uzbekistan is planned. It is
expected that this will significantly simplify the visa application process for
our compatriots, which is currently carried out through the city of Astana.
Negotiations
were continued with Milan Bosnić, Director of the National Employment Service
of Serbia. The parties agreed that, after the ratification of the
Intergovernmental Agreement, they would sign a Protocol on cooperation between
the two agencies in the field of labor migration and labor mobility.
