On May 8-9, the premiere screenings of a historical and artistic documentary film entitled "Uzbekistan. The Path to Victory," the press service of the Center for Islamic Civilization reports.

It is noted that the film, shot in cooperation with the Russian film company Divi, is dedicated to Uzbekistan's contribution to the fate of thousands of evacuees during the Second World War. The film will once again demonstrate the true heroism of the country and the people in terrible times.

The premieres will take place on May 8 at 18:15 Tashkent time (16:15 Moscow time) on the Rossiya-Kultura TV channel and on May 9 at 16:20 on the Sevimli TV channel in Uzbek.

"The film reveals the theme of solidarity, mercy and interethnic brotherhood. It is aimed at recalling the past with artistic accuracy and historical authenticity," the CIC said.

The main scenes of the film were shot on the Square of Memory and Honors in Tashkent, as well as at the monument to the family of Shaakhmed Shamakhmudov, who showed real humanity by adopting 15 children of different nationalities during the war. In addition, filming took place on the territory of Victory Park.

Leading actors, historians and creative teams from Russia, Uzbekistan and European countries took part in the creation of the film. The documentary film consists of five parts that highlight the main humanitarian and cultural aspects of the evacuation to Uzbekistan.

In particular, the film tells about the arrival of those evacuated to Tashkent during World War II, Uzbek families who adopted orphans from different republics as their own children, and the heroism of Uzbek soldiers and front-line soldiers. At the same time, the film touches on the theme of traditions of mutual assistance, which reappeared during the reconstruction of Tashkent after the earthquake of 1966.

This film, expressing the mercy and generosity of Uzbekistan in the most difficult times, provides each of us with the opportunity to realize what kind of people and what kind of country we are.
