The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps of Aktau, ethnocultural centers, public figures, students, compatriots, as well as representatives of the Akimat of Mangystau region and the central library, the Dune news agency reports.
As part of the event, information was provided that, on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, April was declared Amir Temur month, as well as the holding of an international conference "The role and significance of the civilization of Amir Temur and the Temurids in World History and Culture" at the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent. In addition, plans were announced for the organization of scientific publications and educational events.
The participants emphasized the significant contribution of the great commander and statesman Sahibkiran Amir Temur to world history, noting his important role in the development of the states of Central Asia, Europe and Asia Minor.
Turkish Consul General Sabri Alptekin noted that Amir Temur is known in the pages of world history as an outstanding statesman, talented commander and patron of science and culture. He also stressed that a comprehensive and in-depth study of the history of Amir Temur and the Temurid era, as well as the transmission of historical truth to the peoples is a requirement of the time.
In addition, the participants were invited to visit the Amir Temur Museum, as well as the cities of Karshi and Samarkand, in order to get to know more about the life of the great personality, the period of her reign and the historical legacy left behind.
At the end of the event, the participants agreed on further cooperation in promoting knowledge about Amir Temur and the Temurid era.
