During the
meeting, the Serbian President conveyed sincere and best wishes to President of
Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, emphasizing that relations between the two
countries are consistently developing in the spirit of mutual trust and
friendship.
During the
conversation, attention was focused on the continuation of the political
dialogue at the highest level, the expansion of trade and economic ties and the
implementation of promising joint projects. In particular, the high potential
of cooperation in such areas as the textile industry, pharmaceuticals,
agriculture, tourism, transport and logistics, industrial cooperation and
energy was noted.
Alexander
Vucic highly appreciated the large-scale reforms carried out in our country and
the pace of socio-economic development, noting that Uzbekistan is one of the
most dynamically developing countries in the Eurasian region.
The Serbian
President also noted the active participation of the Uzbek delegation in the
events of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Belgrade and stressed that further
intensification of contacts in this area contributes to strengthening
interstate relations.
At the end
of the meeting, Serbia expressed its firm commitment to further expand mutually
beneficial cooperation with Uzbekistan in all areas.
