During the
operational event, it was established that a resident of Chirchik, born in
2005, created and sold malicious APK files via Telegram at a price of 100 to
300 thousand soums. About ten users of various accounts became his clients.
In addition
to the sale, the suspect provided technical support to customers and advised
them on the use of programs.
According
to the investigation, the malware allowed unauthorized access to users'
Telegram accounts, read SMS messages on phones, and access funds on payment
cards.
It was also
established that the defendant was the administrator of more than five Telegram
groups and channels, where he regularly published information about malware
capabilities.
During the
operational activities, an Asus ExpertBook laptop, a Redmi Note 10 Pro
smartphone, a hard drive and two bank cards were seized, which were attached to
the case file as physical evidence.
A criminal
case has been opened against the citizen, and investigative actions are being
carried out.
Law
enforcement agencies urge citizens to be vigilant and, when such facts are
revealed, contact the short number 1520, guaranteeing the confidentiality of
applicants.
