At the event, the head of the region spoke about the ongoing work in Ferghana to improve public transport infrastructure and create amenities for the population. It was noted that 48 modern buses were delivered last year, traffic was established on 4 routes, this work will continue systematically, buses for public transport will be gradually purchased in Kokand, Margilan and other districts.

It was noted that the new buses will start running on two new routes in the city of Ferghana and will be able to serve an average of 10,000 passengers per day, which will create comprehensively comfortable conditions for citizens, make the far near and the hard easy.

To date, 152 modern buses run on 11 bus routes. Another 24 modern buses brought from China will serve the population on route No. 5 from the mahalla of A.Jami through the center to the mahalla of Chekshur, route No. 6 from the mahalla of Abdullah Kadiri through the center to the Istiqlol stadium.

It is noteworthy that by the end of the year it is planned to increase the number of buses in Ferghana to 104. The new buses will bring public transport in our region to a qualitatively new level and provide efficient and safe public services.

In addition, in order to further develop public transport in the region, in April 2025, the heads of the regional transport department and 9 carrier enterprises made a working trip to China. During the trip, memoranda were signed with such well-known manufacturers as Zong Tong and Asia Star on the purchase of 384 buses and minibuses. The total cost of the project is $19.5 million.

All conditions for passengers have been created in Chinese-made public transport. In particular, the bus is equipped with a cooling system in summer and heating in winter. It is also equipped with a GPS system and comprehensive video surveillance cameras.

After that, the khokim (mayor) of the region visited the state institution "Monitoring and Control of Passenger Transportation", established by the regional Department of transport, and got acquainted with the work carried out here. It was reported that the movement of buses in the institution is monitored online in real time, and in case of problems, measures are being taken to eliminate them on the spot.
