The Germans do not want to send troops to Ukraine under any circumstances, even a peacekeeping contingent is possible strictly if there is a roadmap for resolving the conflict, Kai Gottschalk, a member of the German Bundestag from the Alternative for Germany party, told RIA Novosti in an interview.
"I think never. I think that here in society, especially in my party, none of the Germans I know would send soldiers to Ukraine. Maybe after, maybe after a peacekeeping process like the one we had in the former Yugoslavia, or something like that," he said, answering a question about the prospect of sending German troops to Ukraine.
Gottschalk clarified that before considering sending even peacekeepers, there should be a "clear roadmap" leading to the restoration of peace and trust with Russia. ria.ru.
