A total of 52 buses were supplied to organize urban bus services in Gulistan. They fully comply with the Euro-5 environmental standard and operate on compressed natural gas.
These vehicles are designed to carry 65 passengers and provide comfortable conditions for all: they are low-floor, equipped with special ramps, and have dedicated seats for people with disabilities. The ATTO electronic payment system is available for fare collection.
Based on residents’ needs for urban public transportation, bus operations have been organized on seven intra-city routes under a gross contract model, fully covering 23 mahallas of Gulistan.
This will allow halving bus intervals, ensuring comfortable, safe, and affordable transport services for 29,000 residents.
Another significant result is that the updated transport system will generate 38 billion UZS in services annually and create 120 jobs.
The Head of State instructed that efforts to expand public transport fleets in cities across the country with modern buses and to improve service quality for the population be continued consistently.
Information was also presented on plans to purchase an additional 30 eleven-meter long-distance buses in the future. The implementation of this project will create more than 150 additional jobs.
