As the Report reports with reference to China Central Television, a pilot can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h when operating such a personal aircraft.
"The development of this satchel took three to four years, and flight tests took two years, this is our most advanced and mature system," said Jiao Bojing, an engineer from the JetRob team, who made a small demonstration flight.
The device is equipped with five jet engines. Fuel tanks are located on both sides of the backpack. It weighs 31 kg, and with a full tank - 46 kg. The pilot can stay in the air for three to five minutes. The device can reach a height of more than 2 m above the ground, but it can be used in places located at an altitude of 1.5 thousand m above sea level.
According to Jiao Bojing, it takes some time to learn how to safely and smoothly operate a satchel, as is the case with cycling. In the future, he added, the satchel will be able to be operated by humanoid robots, flying in dangerous and difficult places.
