A meeting with representatives of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was held at the MDA

    On September 12, the Ministry of Preschool Education hosted a meeting of the Minister of Preschool Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Shin with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Yusef bin Saleh Al-Gahra Al-Otaibi.

    During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of preschool education, as well as a wide range of issues related to the organization and holding of the "Second World Conference on the Upbringing and Education of Young Children", which will be held in Tashkent in November this year.

    In his opening speech, Mr. Youssef bin Saleh emphasized that Saudi Arabia is striving to build a mutually beneficial, strategic partnership with the Republic of Uzbekistan in various areas of bilateral cooperation, including cooperation in the field of preschool education. In this context, the importance of early development of preschool children, which is an integral part of the strategic development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was noted.

    The head of the diplomatic mission also praised the main results of the large-scale transformations carried out in recent years under the leadership and close attention of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Mirziyoyev.

    According to the Ambassador, a vivid confirmation of the positive dynamics of the growth of cooperation between our countries is the first official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 30 years, where, following the meeting, a Joint statement on further expansion of full-scale partnership relations and 15 documents on cooperation totaling more than $ 12 billion were adopted.

    During the negotiations, the representative of the Saudi Foreign Ministry assured the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that Saudi Arabia would take an active part and make an appropriate contribution to any joint efforts within the framework of the upcoming international forum and exhibition in Tashkent dedicated to the upbringing and education of young children.

    Following the meeting, the parties came to a mutual opinion on the need to continue the practice of holding regular bilateral meetings to maintain an active dialogue between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of preschool education, the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Uzbekistan reports.
