The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 21. At about 21:05, employees of the border customs post "Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov" examined a black travel bag belonging to a foreign citizen flying on the route "St. Petersburg - Tashkent".

An air pistol and 290 balls (steel bullets) for shooting were found in the passenger's hand luggage, which were not presented to customs control in accordance with the established procedure and did not have the appropriate permits of the internal affairs bodies.
