    An explosion at a steel mill in Tlaxcala State in Mexico killed at least 12 people.

    According to the Report, this was reported by the Department of Civil Protection of the region.

    "This morning there was an explosion at the SIMEC facility located on the 123rd kilometer of the Mexico-Veracruz federal highway in Halostock. According to preliminary data, this led to the fall of the foundry tower. To date, 12 dead and one injured have been reported," the ministry noted.

    It is noted that firefighters are working at the scene.

    "The prosecutor's office has already launched an investigation to identify those responsible for this incident," the governor of the state, Lorena Cuellar, wrote on the social network X.
