Russian Education Center opened in Samarkand

    The Center of Russian Education was opened on the basis of Samarkand State University in Uzbekistan. The coordinator of the center's work will be the North Caucasus Federal University (NCFU).

    "Such a large-scale project in terms of the number of universities involved in it is being implemented for the first time. Samarkand State University is a reliable strategic partner of NCFU. Over the past few years, eight two-degree programs have been jointly created, scientific and academic ties between scientists and teachers are actively developing," the NCFU press service told TASS.

    The opening of the center is timed to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Uzbekistan. The platform will unite 23 universities of Russia.

    "The agreements will contribute to strengthening international cooperation. The priority tasks and activities of the Center for Russian Education will be the formation of stable ties between universities of Russia and Uzbekistan," the words of the rector of Samarkand State University Rustam Halmuradov are quoted in the message.

    The center's task will be to implement projects to popularize the Russian language in Central Asia. The Center will coordinate joint scientific research. Russian Russian language, Russian literature, Russian history and other disciplines teachers will also receive methodological support at the site.
