During the forum, the parties discussed the current situation in Afghanistan, the issues of meeting the key requirements of the international community by the current authorities of this country - the creation of an inclusive government, ensuring access of Afghan women to work and education, and respect for the rights of national minorities.

The need to develop a mechanism for joint actions aimed at providing humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people and restoring the country's national economy was stressed.

The importance of strengthening the measures of the neighboring countries of this country in the fight against international terrorism, drug production and smuggling was stated.

The importance of promoting the disclosure of Afghanistan's potential as a key factor of regional interconnectedness between Central and South Asia was noted.

In this context, the parties called for the implementation of infrastructure and socio-economic projects on the territory of Afghanistan with the participation of neighboring states, which will contribute not only to the creation of new jobs, but also to the more active integration of this country into regional economic processes.

Also, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held separate meetings with the Foreign Ministers of the Republic of Belarus - Sergey Aleinik, the Islamic Republic of Iran - Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the Russian Federation - Sergey Lavrov and the State Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Hina Rabbani Khar.

Prospects for further development of Uzbekistan's cooperation with these countries in the fields of politics and diplomacy, trade, investment, transport and logistics, culture and education were discussed at the talks. Special attention is paid to the issues of interaction between the parties within the framework of international and regional organizations.

An exchange of views took place on the results of the ministerial meeting of the neighboring countries of Afghanistan held today, as well as preparations for the meeting of the CIS Council of Ministers and the ministerial meeting in the format "Central Asia - Russia" held in Samarkand on April 14, 2023.
