A meeting with the new French Ambassador to Uzbekistan was held in the Senate

    On September 29, Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan Walid Fouk, who recently assumed his duties.

    The Chairman of the Senate congratulated the diplomat on the start of his mission in Uzbekistan, expressing confidence that his professional experience would contribute to the further development of bilateral relations.

    It was noted that in recent years, Uzbek-French relations have reached the level of strategic partnership. This was facilitated by regular high-level visits, as well as signed agreements covering a wide range of areas, from economics and investment to education and culture.

    During the meeting, attention was also paid to issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation. It was emphasized that cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries continues in a constructive manner, strengthened through bilateral visits and the participation of parliamentarians in international forums. In this regard, the importance of intensifying the dialogue between the relevant committees and the inter-parliamentary friendship groups was emphasized.

    The positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation projects in trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and educational spheres was also noted. Special emphasis is placed on the expansion of cooperation projects and the exchange of experience in the field of cultural preservation and cultural heritage, restoration of historical monuments.

    An exchange of views took place on the organization of special programs for students in various areas of tourism.
