During the conversation, the current cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UNDP was highly appreciated. It was noted that 43 projects are currently being implemented in the country with a total cost of over 163 million US dollars, which is one of the highest indicators among the countries of the region.
The ongoing projects cover such important areas as improving youth digital literacy, economic support for women, modernizing the healthcare system and improving the quality of public services.
The commitment of the parties to further deepen the partnership within the framework of the Country Program for 2021-2025 was emphasized. Special attention is focused on such priority areas as ensuring environmental sustainability, mitigating the consequences of the Aral Sea crisis, promoting gender equality and achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
