During the meeting, Safoev highlighted the fruitful work of the Ambassador of Japan, as well as his great contribution to the development and strengthening of friendship and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Japan.

At the same time, the current state and prospects of cooperation between the two countries were discussed during the dialogue.

During the conversation, it was emphasized that the historic visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the Land of the Rising Sun in 2019 opened new horizons for the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Japan.

At the end of the meeting, the Japanese Ambassador expressed readiness to continue actively supporting the strengthening of multilateral cooperation between the two countries, the information service of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
