During the talks, issues of expanding GGGI's activities in Uzbekistan, strengthening the institute's role in implementing large-scale green transformation projects, as well as supporting the fulfillment of the country's obligations under the Paris Climate Agreement were discussed.
Special attention is focused on the international approach to environmental problems, the reforms carried out in recent years to restore and sustainably develop the Aral Sea region, the creation of forests and work within the framework of the national project "Yashil Makon".
Plans to deepen parliamentary expertise and train specialists in the field of the green economy were also discussed.
The parties agreed to expand cooperation to promote national climate initiatives at the international level, develop a regulatory framework, and share experience in combating environmental pollution and climate change.
