Strong winds are raging in the northern regions of China for the third day

National Meteorological Center (NMC) China on Sunday again announced an "orange" warning due to strong wind gusts, Xinhua reports.

Since the evening of Friday, April 11, due to the arrival of a cold front in northern China, there has been a squally wind.

According to the NMC forecast, from 8 a.m. on Sunday to 8 a.m. on Monday, winds of up to 32.6 m/s will rage in some areas of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the provinces of Shanxi and Hebei, as well as the city of Beijing.

Also on Sunday, the NMC extended the "blue" warning in connection with sand and snow storms. Forecasters expect snow storms to hit parts of Inner Mongolia, Jilin and Qinghai provinces.

China has a four-level warning system for adverse weather conditions, in which the highest level of danger is indicated in red, followed by orange, yellow and blue in descending order.

Earlier, residents of the northern regions of China weighing up to 50 kg were advised not to go outside in the next two days due to strong winds. Classes for elementary and secondary school students in city schools were also canceled and some public spaces, including museums, were closed. rbc.ru.
