According to ABC News, the pilot of the Beechcraft Hawker G-36 reported an engine malfunction shortly after takeoff and, unable to return to the airport, decided to board the Browns Bridge highway.

During landing, the plane rammed several cars.

According to Gainesville police, at least four people were injured in the incident: two who were on the plane and two drivers whose cars took the hit. Doctors say that the victims' lives are not in danger.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has already started investigating the causes of the technical malfunction.
