202 new Yutong electric buses arrived in Tashkent

    A reception ceremony for 202 new Yutong electric buses delivered from China was held in Tashkent.

    The event was attended by the khokim of Tashkent city, the Minister of Transport, deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, representatives of the Public Council under the Ministry of Transport and the Khokimiyat of the city, as well as mass media and bloggers.

    Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov noted that at the initiative of the head of state, reforms are being actively implemented in Uzbekistan to develop public transport and improve the living conditions of the population. He congratulated the drivers and employees of Toshshahartranshismat JSC, who accepted the new buses, and stressed the importance of their work.

    The new electric buses are environmentally friendly and will be an important step in improving the urban environment and modernizing the transport system. Thanks to the renovation of public transport in recent years, emissions of harmful substances have decreased by 93.3 tons per month.

    According to the Ministry of Transport, by 2030 it is planned that 50% of Tashkent's urban public transport will be electric buses.
