The 36th plenary session of the Eurasian Group has started its work in Tashkent

On May 30, meetings of working groups on countering money laundering and financing of terrorism started in Tashkent with the participation of member States, representatives of observer countries and organizations, the secretariat of the Group for the Development of Financial Measures to Combat Money Laundering (FATF), the Committee of Experts of the Council of Europe on the Evaluation of Measures to Combat Money Laundering (MONEYVAL), as well as experts- appraisers.

On May 30-31, the meetings of the working groups will be devoted to the results of the assessment of the national system of the Republic of Uzbekistan conducted in 2020-2022 on countering the legalization of proceeds from criminal activity and the financing of terrorism, as well as legal issues, technical assistance, typologies and countering the financing of terrorism and crime.

It is important to emphasize that this event is being held in full-time format for the first time since 2019. The participants noted the high level of its organization, UZA reports.
