The 37th meeting of the Council of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Council has started its work in Tashkent

    Today, on March 25, a regular meeting of the Council of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization began its work in Tashkent.

    The event began with the ceremony of the official inauguration of the Director of the Executive Committee of the Council of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization representative of Uzbekistan Ruslan Mirzaev.

    The meeting is chaired by the Indian side. The delegations of the competent authorities of India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the Executive Committee of the Council of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization take part in its work.

    During the meeting, the parties plan to review the state of regional security, discuss the current situation in the field of countering terrorism, separatism and extremism in the SCO space, exchange views on the level of interaction between the competent authorities of the SCO member states, determine joint measures to respond to modern challenges and threats to security from international terrorist organizations, the Dunyo news agency reports.
