The event was organized by the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade and became a platform for discussing new areas of investment and technological cooperation.

The Uzbek delegation was headed by Ilzat Kasimov, Deputy Minister of MIPT. The forum was attended by representatives of relevant ministries, APII, CCI, IT Park and infrastructure organizations.

The Japanese side was represented by Deputy Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan Terada Yoshimichi, as well as Japanese Ambassador to Uzbekistan Hirata Kenji and leading companies: Hankyu, Shimizu, Nikken Sekkei, Itochu, Marubeni, Sojitz and Oriental Consultants Global.

In 2025, the volume of mutual trade reached about $400 million, and the number of enterprises with Japanese capital increased almost tenfold in 8 years to 130 companies.

The forum discussed joint projects in the field of intelligent transport systems, modernization of municipal infrastructure, digital monitoring of the urban environment, development of public transport and sustainable urban planning. The interest of both sides in expanding investment and technological cooperation was confirmed.
