Today, about 400 professors and teachers work in the university staff. Of these, 50 are Doctors of Sciences, 125 are Candidates of Sciences and PhD doctors of Philosophy. These mentors teach more than 6,400 students. Of these, 840 are masters.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Senate congratulated the university staff and students on the commissioning of the new academic building.

In turn, T. Narbayeva noted that the assignment of the university status to the Institute of Oriental Studies does not mean only the renaming of this educational institution, but implies the expansion of the content of education and the activities of the university, the creation of broad conditions for the teaching staff working in it, researchers, as well as students.

According to the Chairman of the Senate, much attention is currently being paid to the issue of cooperation between Central Asia and South Asia. Cooperation is necessary for the development of the Eastern countries. This is carried out by the leading qualified specialists of our country. From this point of view, it will be excessively useful for the scientists of the University of Oriental Studies to conduct scientific research together with the scientific circles of foreign countries.

It was noted that this new building, which has all the opportunities for students to receive modern education, high-quality teaching by the teaching staff, has nine floors. The building can accommodate up to 1000 students. It is planned to receive education in the specialties of Korean studies and Chinese studies.
