The Uzbek-Emirati Business Forum was held in Tashkent

    On October 14 of this year, the Uzbekistan-United Arab Emirates business Forum was held in Tashkent as part of the visit of a delegation of business representatives led by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

    This event was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of our country in Abu Dhabi, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

    The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Dilshod Rasulov, First Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ali Said bin Harmal Ol Zohiri, Chief Secretary of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the UAE, heads of relevant ministries and departments, industry associations, as well as representatives of about 200 business circles of the two countries.

    Addressing the forum participants, Davron Vakhabov thanked the numerous Iranian business delegation for the visit and expressed hope that these events will become another opportunity to strengthen trade and economic relations between our countries.

    The main theme of the event was the strengthening of bilateral relations between the business circles of both countries as a decisive factor in the further development of investment and trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE.

    Within the framework of the event program, presentations were made on the most promising areas of attracting investments, as well as the investment potential of Uzbekistan in priority sectors and ready-made project proposals.

    It was noted with satisfaction that friendly and good-neighborly relations between the two countries are developing rapidly. In 2023, the mutual trade turnover amounted to $ 625 million, exports - $ 261 million, imports - $ 364 million, in January-May 2024 - $ 229 million, exports - $ 82 million, imports - $ 146 million.

    Today, there are more than 320 enterprises with the participation of Iranian capital in our country. Of these, 120 are joint ventures, and more than 200 are foreign enterprises.

    The forum discussed promising projects in the fields of industry, innovation, education, tourism, transport and logistics, textiles, construction, agriculture and food production. Also, negotiations were held in the B2B format between representatives of the UAE business community and entrepreneurs of the city of Tashkent.

    During the visit, the Iranian delegation will hold meetings in relevant ministries and departments of our country, visit free economic industrial zones and production facilities.
