A truck with 3,000 vehicles caught fire in the Pacific Ocean

In the central Pacific Ocean, a fire broke out on the Morning Midas cargo ship, which was transporting about 3,000 vehicles to Mexico, including about 800 electric vehicles.

According to the Report, this is reported by Bloomberg with reference to the US Coast Guard.

According to her, the incident occurred 480 km south of Adak Island (Alaska).

The Zodiac Maritime management company clarified that smoke appeared on one of the decks. "The crew attempted to extinguish the fire, but failed to bring the situation under control," the statement said. The U.S. Coast Guard evacuated all 22 sailors to a nearby merchant ship. The company did not name the owners of the cargo.

The 46.8 thousand-ton vessel, built in 2006 at the Xiamen Shipbuilding shipyard (China), left the port of Yantai on May 26 after calls at Nansha and Shanghai.
