The honorary Consulate of Uzbekistan has opened in the Turkish city of Trabzon

    On September 9, the official opening ceremony of the honorary Consulate of Uzbekistan took place in the Turkish city of Trabzon.

    Thus, the number of honorary consulates of Uzbekistan in Turkey has increased to 4. Previously, the same representative offices were opened in the provinces of Bursa, Adana and Antalya, the Dune news agency reports.

    The event was attended by the Governor of Trabzon Aziz Yildirim, deputy of the Justice and Development Party (AKP), former Minister of Transport Adil Karaismailoglu, Deputy Mayor of Trabzon Ahmet Yuksel Gulai, regional Chairman of the AKP Sezgin Mumju, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Erkut Celebi and other representatives of government agencies and businesses.

    In his speech, the Governor of Trabzon, Aziz Yildirim, congratulated Uzbekistan on the 33rd anniversary of independence and wished the fraternal Uzbek people peace, prosperity and tranquility. In addition, "Turkey and Uzbekistan are two fraternal countries with close historical and cultural ties, and these strong fraternal relations include not only friendship, but also common goals and cooperation. The opening of the consulate here today will be an important step to further strengthen this friendship bridge," he said.

    Also within the framework of the event, Sadik Soylu, appointed Honorary Consul of Uzbekistan in Trabzon, discussed issues of promoting the economic interests of Uzbekistan, attracting Turkish investors and tourists to our country, promoting the export of local products, as well as the development of cultural, humanitarian and other relations.

    In turn, Sadik Soylu noted that Trabzon and the cities of the Black Sea region are aimed at further developing large-scale relations with Uzbekistan in all spheres - from trade to art, from sports to culture.
