The event was attended by the heads of the Ministry of Sports, the National Olympic and Paralympic Committees, the National Agency for Social Protection and the Agency for Youth Affairs.
During the ceremony, officials emphasized that, at the initiative of the President of the country, wide opportunities for sports activities are being created for all segments of the population, especially for people with disabilities. It was emphasized that large-scale work is underway in this direction to provide comprehensive support to such citizens.
According to the plan, the "Five Initiatives Paralympics" will cover 13 sports. Interest in the competition turned out to be very high - to date, the organizing committee has received 79,000 applications, 43% of which were submitted by women.
