Priority AI implementation projects have been identified in Uzbekistan

    Resolution No. 425 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 07/10/2025 "On measures to implement priority projects in the field of artificial intelligence technologies in 2025-2026" was adopted.

    The document approved the lists of priority projects for the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies in 2025-2026:

    · organizations that are part of the Ministry of Digital Technologies (64 projects);

    · ministries and departments (22 projects).

    · In particular, priority projects include:

    · development of software for analysis and forecasting of pharmaceutical market needs;

    · development of a digital medical assistant software based on artificial intelligence to automate clinical decision-making and improve the quality of medical care;

    · development of a software product that analyzes computed tomography and radiography images for potential detection of tumors, inflammatory processes and other pathological changes;

    · implementation of a pilot project in selected regions to predict crop yields (wheat and cotton) under conditions of aerospace monitoring;

    · The use of AI in space monitoring to identify existing solar panel placement schemes and highly efficient installation sites, and the implementation of a pilot project in selected areas.;

    · pilot implementation of the UzFace citizen identification system at the entrances to Tashkent railway stations, etc.

    By June 1, 2026, the Ministry of Digital Technologies has been instructed to ensure the purchase of a high-performance computing cluster and equipment for large databases, including graphics processing units (GPUs), for parallel computing, machine learning, and other artificial intelligence technology implementation projects for Inha University in Tashkent.
