Of the total electricity produced, 44.5
billion kWh came from thermal power plants, 9.1 billion kWh from large solar
and wind power plants, and 6.2 billion kWh from hydropower plants.
In addition, 2.3 billion kWh was generated
by small rooftop solar panels, while another 689.3 million kWh was produced by
block stations.
During the reporting period, electricity
consumption in Uzbekistan reached 61.4 billion kWh, which was 3.6 billion kWh,
or 6.2%, higher than in January–August 2025.
Uzbekistan exported 3.1 billion kWh of
electricity during this period. Exports increased by 753 million kWh, or 31.7%,
compared with the same period last year.
At the same time, electricity imports
amounted to 1.7 billion kWh, which was 669.8 million kWh, or 28%, lower than a
year earlier.
In August 2026, Uzbekistan produced 8.4
billion kWh of electricity, an increase of 1.1 billion kWh, or 14.4%, compared
with August 2025.
Electricity consumption in August also
reached 8.4 billion kWh. Compared with the same month last year, consumption
increased by 953.9 million kWh, or 12.7%.
