According to the Regulation, a driver project is a project that, based on the resources and capabilities of the region, stimulates the development of industry, services and agriculture, which leads to certain economic growth or changes.

The formation, coordination and launch of driver projects are carried out by the khokims of districts (cities).

Projects are developed by the khokimiyats of districts (cities) annually until November 1.

Within one week, the projects are submitted to the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the khokimiyats of the regions and the city of Tashkent.

The projects are then sent to the Ministry of Economy and Finance within 10 working days.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance has been studying the driver project on site for 15 working days.

General contracting organizations within the framework of project implementation are determined by organizing a tender in accordance with the procedure established by law.

Driver projects are put into operation and are considered implemented on the basis of an act drawn up by the khokimiyat of the district (city).
