The air in Tashkent has become cleaner, but the level of PM2.5 remains elevated

According to automatic atmospheric air monitoring stations, on November 26, 2025, there is an improvement in air quality in the capital compared to previous days.

The concentration of fine PM10 particles was 210 micrograms/m3, which is lower than the maximum permissible concentration (MPC) of 300 micrograms/m3.

The concentration of PM2.5 remained elevated and amounted to 144 micrograms/m3, which exceeds the maximum permissible concentration by 2.4 times (maximum concentration is 60 micrograms/m3).

Experts note that an increase in the PM2.5 content is also associated with sudden changes in temperature. In such conditions, the effect of temperature inversion occurs, in which fine particles settle in the atmosphere, increasing their concentration.

The administration and relevant services of Tashkent continue to work to reduce dust and improve the environmental situation in the city.
