On June 17, 2025, the movement of bulky trucks to the ports of Pakistan began again through the Salang Pass. This was reported by the Afghan side.

According to available information, repair work on the pass, which began on June 10, will continue, but this will not affect the cargo transportation process.

The resumption of traffic along one of the key transport routes in the region will help stabilize logistics and speed up the delivery of goods, including transit goods, through the territory of Afghanistan.

The authorities assured that all necessary measures to ensure traffic safety on the section of the pass have been taken.
