Rail transport is developing in Uzbekistan, and the number of flights is increasing. This, in turn, increases the demand for railcars.

The plant produces and repairs 16 types of passenger cars. Last year, the company manufactured 32 passenger cars and repaired 319. It is important to note that 70 percent of spare parts were localized through cooperation.

Over the past years, more than 300 passenger and service cars have been produced, of which over 50 have been exported. In addition, 112 subway cars have been modernized.

The carriages are designed for use for 28 years and fully comply with international requirements. They provide passengers with comfort, high quality, and safety.

Improvements have been made to heating and cooling systems and ventilation. Water heating units are designed to operate on both electricity and coal. Passengers are provided with special facilities to provide clean and cool drinking water and charge phones. The plant employs 619 engineers and workers.

The President examined the carriages. He noted the need to change their design and improve passenger amenities. Instructions were given to expand the electrification of the railway network, cover areas with large populations, and create separate generation capacities for the industry.

This year, hundreds of cars are planned to be built and repaired. Special cars for mining and metallurgical enterprises and new types of cars with wide compartments are also planned.

A new project was presented to the Head of state, providing for the organization of the production of electric trains and metro trains.

The planned launch of a high-speed train between Tashkent and Khiva was also reported. The President spoke about this at the opening ceremony of the monument to Jaloliddin Manguberdy in Khorezm in 2022. It is planned to purchase a high-speed electric train “Hyundai Rotem” from South Korea. The seven-car electric train will accommodate 351 passengers and can reach up to 250 kilometers per hour.
