As is known, the nationwide project “Yashil Makon” (Green Space) is being implemented in 2021 on the President’s initiative. In particular, Tashkent’s “green belt” is being created to improve the environmental situation. The youth park will be an essential part of it.
The Head of state was informed about the park project. Its area exceeds 75 hectares and will be the second largest in the capital after the New Uzbekistan Park.
The park will be divided into seven large zones. On the central alley, areas for various activities, an open amphitheater with a thousand seats, and gastronomic zones for national and foreign cuisine will be created.
There will be separate areas for outdoor dining and fun activities. There will be musical fountains, an open-air cinema, art exhibitions and a laser show. Sports and playgrounds in the style of famous fairy tales, workshops, and a library will be equipped for children. An artificial lake, canoe, swimming pool, and fishing spots will delight visitors.
Today, the first trees were planted in the park, with the participation of the Tashkent public, government agencies, the diplomatic corps, and young people.
The President spoke with investors and designers involved in creating the park, as well as with foreign diplomats.
“Our people have long made it a habit to plant trees everywhere. Amir Timur created picturesque gardens around Samarkand and improved other cities. We continue this work to be worthy of our great ancestors”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The Head of state spoke with his compatriots who arrived in the park and congratulated them on the Navruz holiday.
In the first stage, more than a thousand chestnuts, maples, oriental plane trees, magnolias, thujas, shrubs, and flowers will be planted in the park. By the end of the project, their number will reach 20,000.
Another feature will be the creation of a natural landscape, forest, and exotic zone in the park. The opening of the park will create more than 350 jobs.
These days, tree-planting events are also taking place in the regions. In total, 347 hectares of green zones have been created, and 187 parks of ministries and hokimiyats have been established.
