The five-day competition is taking place at the National Speed Skating
Oval, known as the "Ice Ribbon." This year's games program includes
51 competitive categories.
Competitions aimed at demonstrating the capabilities of robots have shifted
this year from simulation fields to real-world objects. Specifically, robots
are being tested in factories, hotels, and specially equipped houses. Thus,
priority is being given to developing humanoid robots not just as technological
display tools, but as systems capable of performing real work.
The games were jointly organized by the People's Government of Beijing,
China Media Group, the World Robot Cooperation Organization, and the
International Council of the World RoboCup in the Asia-Pacific region.
Organizers noted that such competitions are aimed at technology exchange,
industrial cooperation, and the development of artificial intelligence
technologies capable of operating in physical environments.
Such games among humanoid robots were first held in August 2025, featuring
280 teams and over 500 humanoid robots from 16 countries, reported by
