Arsenal -
Burnley 1-0 (Haverts, 37).
How Arsenal
has changed after the return of Belgian Leandro Trossard and Bukayo Saka, and
the restoration of Kai Havertz! Trossard had already fired a shot into the post
from outside the penalty area at the start of the match. After Kaya Havrets
shot at Bukayo Saka, he was dropped in the penalty area by a backhand, but the
chief referee of the match, Paul Tierney, calmly spread his arms to the sides:
there is no penalty. And Arteta clutched his head in vain: they don't do that
in England.
And how
symbolic that the Gunners hit the goal of German Max Weiss in a purely English
style, from the corner. The ball from the corner flag was sent by Saka, and
Havertz drove the ball into his compatriot's goal with a header:
"Entschuldigen Sie bitte". I'm sorry, fellow countryman!
The
Londoners could have scored more, and Weiss's save came out especially
beautifully after hitting Eberechi Eze under the crossbar. It didn't fly. One
goal was enough.
The match
in Bournemouth started half an hour earlier, where the Cherries did not allow
Josep Guardiola's team to win. The goal of Frenchman Elior Junior Krupi (39) in
the first half was answered by a goal from Erling Holann, but already in the
94th minute. Abdukadir Khusanov came out at the start and played the whole
match, but he was not destined to become the champion of England this year.
So Arsenal
became English champions after 22 years. In the 2003/2004 season, the team won
the title without a single defeat. But Arsene Wenger's team then lost to
Manchester United in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, but in the Super Cup final
the Gunners got even with the Red Devils, winning with a score of 3:1.
So this
season Arsenal may not be limited to just one English champions title. Mikel
Arteta's team will play Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League final
in Budapest on May 30. Good luck!
