According to the farmer, 140 chickens died due to extreme noise
levels, leading him to file a formal police complaint, as reported by local
outlet NDTV.
The incident occurred in
the Sultanpur district. The wedding procession, accompanied by a DJ, passed
through one of the local villages. Farmer Sabir Ali stated that around 9:30 PM,
as the motorcade passed near his farm, the hearts of 140 chickens stopped due
to the loud noise.
"The noise was so loud
that the chickens died of fear," NDTV quoted from Ali's police statement.
According to the channel,
law enforcement agencies initiated a case against the DJ on Thursday based on
these allegations. An investigation is currently underway to determine if the
noise levels exceeded permitted limits for that time of day and whether this
directly caused the birds' deaths.
Experts mentioned that
high-frequency sound waves can cause severe stress in birds and animals, often
leading to sudden cardiac arrest.
