The total volume of food purchases abroad increased by 39.9% and reached $903.9 million.
The largest increase was recorded in the import of grain crops, as well as meat and meat products. In particular, meat imports in January-February reached almost $157 million, almost doubling.
At the same time, Uzbekistan retains its position as a major exporter of fruit and vegetable products: in January-February, the volume of shipments abroad exceeded $207 million.
