The
incident occurred in the village of Kaung That.
According
to local media reports, the explosion killed more than 45 people, including
children. More than 70 others were injured.
The blast
was so powerful that it destroyed several nearby houses.
According
to preliminary data, the warehouse contained explosives used in mining. The
region is well-known for its ruby mines.
The area
where the disaster occurred is under the control of the TNLA rebel group.
Rescue
operations are currently underway at the scene. Authorities have launched an
investigation to determine the causes of the explosion, reported by Kazinform.
