Key areas of cooperation in environmental protection, sustainable development, and addressing climate challenges were discussed.

Steady progress in cooperation was noted, including the preparation of national environmental reports, improvements to environmental monitoring systems, and the strengthening of institutional capacity.

The Executive Director highly commended the national projects being implemented in Uzbekistan – “Yashil Makon”, “Bioheritage”, “Clean Air”, “Waste-Free Territory”, and “Eco-Culture”. The importance of these projects for ensuring environmental sustainability and improving the quality of life for the population was emphasized.

Inger Andersen also expressed readiness to expand practical partnership in implementing the initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan announced during the current summit.
