On March 19, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited this complex dedicated to the great Islamic scholar Imam al-Bukhari, which holds a special place not only in the history of Uzbekistan, but throughout the Muslim world. He is the author of one of the most authoritative collections of hadith, Sahih al-Bukhari, which is recognized as the second most important source in Islam after the Koran.

All necessary facilities are provided for the pilgrims. In particular, a tourist center is organized at the complex. A modern infrastructure has been created on the adjacent territory of 15 hectares, comfortable hotels and service facilities have been built. In particular, 1 four-star hotel, 2 three-star hotels, 22 family guest houses with 176 beds, as well as a parking lot have been built. These facilities are fully equipped with communication networks, landscaping works have been carried out on the territory.

As a result, if the Imam Bukhari complex used to receive 12,000 pilgrims a day, now its capacity allows it to serve 65,000 pilgrims a day.

The memorial complex has become the pearl of Samarkand and New Uzbekistan. Its area is 45 hectares. A huge mosque designed for 10,000 people, an administrative building and a majestic ivan in the national style with 154 columns have been built on the territory of the complex.

A unique innovative museum consisting of 9 pavilions has been built using the most advanced information technologies. It presents the life and scientific legacy of Imam Bukhari, recognized in the Islamic world as the "Sultan of Muhaddis", and his contribution to the development of Islamic enlightenment. The museum also features the stories of 25 prophets mentioned in the Holy Quran, the lineage of Prophet Muhammad, information about his life in Mecca and Medina, as well as the process of collecting and writing hadith.

14 blue domes and four 75-meter minarets give the shrine a majestic appearance.

The completed construction works and the created conditions in the Imam Bukhari complex once again confirm the status of Samarkand as one of the most important spiritual and tourist centers of Central Asia.
